Charleston, SC – Sunny skies and mild temperatures will dominate South Carolina today, but a shift in weather is expected by Monday. Highs will reach 48 degrees, with increasing clouds moving into the region tonight, bringing cooler overnight lows of 36 degrees.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), there is a slight 20% chance of rain showers Monday morning, increasing between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Residents should expect mostly cloudy skies with daytime highs near 48 degrees and a northwest wind between 5 and 7 mph. This could impact the Monday morning commute, particularly on major roadways like Interstate 26 and Highway 17. Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time and drive cautiously during potential rain.

Looking ahead, drier conditions return by Tuesday, with highs climbing to 52 degrees under sunny skies. Tuesday night will be partly cloudy, with lows dipping to 32 degrees. Wednesday and Thursday promise clear skies and mild temperatures, with highs hovering around the low 50s, offering a pleasant midweek outlook for Charleston residents.

Although the rain chances Monday are low, the NWS encourages residents to monitor updates, especially those planning outdoor activities. By Friday, sunny skies are expected to continue, closing out the week with highs near 55 degrees.
