Louisville, KY – A cold front arriving Monday evening will bring frigid temperatures and light snow showers to the Louisville area, creating hazardous conditions early Tuesday. Residents should prepare for single-digit temperatures Monday night, with snow accumulations likely impacting Tuesday morning commutes.

According to the National Weather Service in Louisville, highs on Monday will peak at 35°F before temperatures plummet overnight to as low as 8°F. Light snow showers are forecast late Monday night into Tuesday morning, with potential accumulations of less than an inch. Drivers are advised to exercise caution on roadways, as icy patches may develop.

By Tuesday, temperatures will remain cold, with highs struggling to reach 30°F. Gusty winds may lead to wind chills near zero. The region could experience additional slick spots, especially along highways and bridges.

Looking ahead, Wednesday will bring bitterly cold air, with daytime highs near 24°F and lows dropping to 12°F overnight. Thursday offers some relief, as highs rebound to 36°F under partly sunny skies. By Friday, showers return, pushing highs into the mid-40s, though rainfall could disrupt late-week plans.

Residents are encouraged to dress in layers, limit time outdoors, and check on vulnerable neighbors during this period of extreme cold. Stay updated with local forecasts and prepare for rapidly changing conditions.
