San Francisco, CA – A coastal flood advisory is in effect for bayshore areas of the San Francisco and San Pablo Bay Saturday morning. Residents are urged to prepare for minor flooding as high tides could reach up to 6.8 feet at 8:34 a.m., potentially impacting roads, parks, and low-lying properties.
According to the National Weather Service, the advisory is active from 5 a.m. to noon Saturday. Minor flooding is likely near shorelines, with isolated road closures expected. Travelers should avoid driving through water of unknown depth and plan for potential delays in affected areas.
Looking ahead, the weekend forecast features mostly sunny skies with a high of 63 degrees on Saturday and slightly cooler temperatures Sunday. Saturday night could see gusty winds up to 34 mph, with a low of 47 degrees. Sunday will bring clear skies and a high near 59 degrees, making it ideal for outdoor activities once the advisory ends.
The extended forecast promises clear and sunny conditions through midweek. Monday and Tuesday will see highs in the upper 50s to 60 degrees, with lows in the mid-40s.
Residents in flood-prone areas should take precautionary measures, such as securing outdoor items and monitoring local updates. Be mindful of changing tides and stay clear of barricaded areas.
