Anatoly Antonov urged the United States to take a different approach to resolving the conflict, suggesting that ceasing military aid to Ukraine would be a more effective solution. Anatoly Antonov noted that the US continues to rely on a forceful resolution to the Ukrainian crisis, which he believes aims to exhaust and weaken Russia while turning fraternal nations against them.

He alleged that the Americans were trying to depict Russia as a country with ambitions for territorial expansion. Before this, the Pentagon declared a further $200 million in aid for Kyiv, encompassing an assortment of military provisions like air defense missiles, ammunition, and precise munitions. Austin emphasized that this elevates the cumulative military support from the United States to Ukraine to almost $44 billion.
