Chesebro’s Leaked Recording Indicates Shift, Raises Concerns for Jan. 6 Defendants

Aganga-Williams praises Chesebro’s account of organizing and coordinating the delivery of critical documents to Washington D.C. The goal was to persuade then-Vice President Mike Pence and prevent Biden from winning 2020. Aganga-Williams says Chesebro’s leaked recording illustrates a change in his collaboration because he now provides precise information and takes responsibility.

CNN reports Aganga-Williams believes Chesebro is cooperating. The leaked recording proves he’s progressing. He blames others, gives extended responses, then converts, acknowledging responsibility and supporting prosecution teams countrywide.”

Chesebro’s guilty plea and discoveries draw questions about his cooperation and contributions beyond CNN’s audio and emails. Despite his ambiguous admissions, Aganga-Williams warns the other 18 defendants, including former President Donald Trump, who are facing RICO charges in Fulton County for altering the election results.

Cooperator Chesebro Raises Stakes for Defendants: Testimonies of Former President and Giuliani at Risk

Aganga-Williams said, “I think if I were his co-defendants, I’m incredibly worried because right now the government’s scope of evidence will be expanding.” Co-defendants may make former president and Rudy Giuliani’s testimony admissible, he said.

Chesebro’s cooperation might bolster the government’s case and increase evidence against major election overturners, boosting the stakes for those charged with January 6.
