Marjorie Taylor-Greene, a highly disputed and loud Republican in Georgia, utilized Twitter on April 22 to express her opinion about who she believes is to blame for the problems of New York City. She holds the Democrats, especially Adams himself, entirely responsible for the situation.
Adams made a critical accusation against the Biden Administration previously this week, on April 21, when he spoke before the African American Mayors Association in Washington, D.C. He said that the “migrant issue” was the primary reason for the high crime rates that are presently impacting New York City. Adams was clear about the topic in his speech:
“The federal government has abandoned New York City. The scope of the economic crisis is unmatched in this city.”
Unexpectedly Marjorie Taylor-Greene didn’t seem to be satisfied with Adams’ claim, considering that he was criticizing President Biden and his political party. Rather, she tried to place the burden for the problem on Adams personally and any Democratic initiatives.
