After a white substance was allegedly discovered at the White House on Sunday, the American Secret Service launched an investigation.

According to Anthony Guglielmi, a spokesperson for the Secret Service, the material was found by agents of the Uniformed Division of the agency as they made typical rounds of the location.

Newsweek said that the drug was found inside a “work area” of the West Wing, according to a source who knows about the investigation.

A message from a fire unit that arrived claimed that a preliminary field test revealed the drug to be cocaine.

A firefighter from the D.C. department’s hazardous materials group can be heard contacting in the findings of an investigation in audio footage that was recorded on the website openmhz.com.

The firefighter declared, “We are carrying a yellow bar that says cocaine hydrochloride.”
