The incident occurred on June 5 at approximately 11:30 p.m. in the 9200 block of Scott Street, according to the Houston Police Department (HPD).
Houston authorities have released surveillance video footage capturing two wanted suspects in connection with an assault on a man who was asleep in his vehicle near a convenience store in the Sunnyside
The victim reported that he observed two men approaching his car, prompting him to exit the vehicle and inquire about their intentions. In a distressing turn of events, one of the suspects brandished a firearm and demanded money from the victim. However, the victim explained that he was homeless and possessed no cash. Subsequently, the suspects proceeded to physically assault the victim by repeatedly punching him in the face, as stated by HPD officials.
The two perpetrators swiftly fled the scene, leaving the victim in a state of shock and distress
In an effort to apprehend the wanted individuals, investigators have released the surveillance footage to the public, hoping that someone will recognize the suspects.
Both suspects are described as Black males aged between 17 and 23 years old, with heights ranging from 5’10” to 6’1″ and weights between 160 and 180 pounds. Notably, one of the suspects was wearing a blue jacket and orange pants, while the other was clad in dark clothing.
