The holidays are a prime time for automobile break-ins as well as additional robberies, which makes parcels left unattended in cars an appealing target.
Over the weekend, video cameras in Kansas City’s Waldo area recorded multiple break-ins.
There are an increasing number of them in the region, according to one business owner.
“Theft from autos tends to concentrate in areas like the Plaza, Waldo, Brookside, and Zona Rosa where there’s a large number of vehicles, particularly those parking on the roadways or placed in public garages,” KCPD Capt. Corey Carlisle stated.
On W. 74th Terrace, someone shattered the window of a stopped automobile, stole several items from inside, and left in a red car.
