The Gila County Sheriff’s Office revealed that this incident unfolded on the evening of August 16th along State Route 87, just prior to 8:30 p.m. The law enforcement agency detailed that during the course of their investigation prompting them to seek permission from the vehicle’s driver to conduct a search.

The women from California, both hailing from Barstow, California, were taken into custody by authorities. The individuals have been identified as Rosa Arias Rosales, aged 36, and Karina Perez Casteneda, aged 22.
