Trump supports the notion that he should be free to kill opponents without facing consequences

Later this week, Donald Trump seemed to support the theory put up by his attorneys that he should be immune from ordering the demise of his opponents.

Attorney for Trump, D. John Sauer, was asked throughout Tuesday’s arguments in a hearing in Washington, DC, if a president would, in theory, order the death of an opponent by the US military and escape legal repercussions.

According to Mr. Saur, indictment would only be permitted when the Senate found someone guilty of impeachment.

Judge Florence Pan then put pressure on him, saying, “I made you a yes or no question.” Will a president face criminal charges if he gave SEAL Team 6 instructions to kill a political opponent?

“Qualified yes – if he is charged and sentenced first,” said Mr Saur.
