Trump supporters in Michigan are accused of offenses related to voting machines and illegal “testing”

Prosecutors revealed Tuesday that 2 supporters of former President Donald Trump in Michigan, such as a former Republican candidate for state lawyer general, had been charged in relation with an attempt to gain unauthorized access to and interfere with voting equipment in the state following the 2020 election.

According to a press release from special prosecutor D.J. Hilson, attorney Matthew DePerno was indicted with collaboration and unauthorized control of a voting machine, whereas former Republican state representative Daire Rendon was imposed with unauthorized possession of a voting machine and unauthorized use of a voting machine. Based on Richard Lynch, the court administrator for Oakland County’s 6th Circuit, both were charged on Tuesday in the late afternoon.

Prosecutors claim that a minimum of 3 states, including Michigan, had electoral system hacks while promoting Trump’s false narrative that the 2020 election was rigged.
