The Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office reported that Edward Patrick Davies was apprehended in connection with the unfortunate demise of Deputy Deanna Esmaeel, sending shockwaves through the tight-knit community.

Deanna Esmaeel’s lifeless body was uncovered on Thursday morning in her North Bank Road home. The alarm was raised when she failed to appear at work and couldn’t be reached by phone, prompting concerned colleagues from the Wild Rivers Outpost to visit her residence.
A significant development came to light when it was revealed that Edward Patrick Davies had legally changed his name from Daniel James Walter to evade authorities.
He was eventually located in Curry County, Oregon, a few hours away from Del Norte County
Marty York, who portrayed the memorable character Yeah-Yeah in “The Sandlot,” received the grim news of Marty York mother’s passing directly from the sheriff’s office, and Marty York shared his overwhelming emotions via an Instagram post, expressing his deep sorrow and turmoil.
Sheriff Garrett Scott, who is equally devastated by the loss, conveyed his condolences, stating, “We are all deeply heartbroken with the loss of Deputy Esmaeel. Our hearts and prayers go out to her family, musketeers, and co-workers.”
