Tragedy struck Willowbrook in northwest Harris County as a fire broke out in the early hours of Sunday morning, claiming the life of a teenager and leaving three others injured

The distress call regarding the fire at 12427 Cutten Road was received at approximately 3:15 a.m. Upon arrival, investigators discovered that a family of six was trapped inside one of the trailer homes that had become engulfed in flames. Although three members of the family managed to escape unharmed, two individuals suffered burns, and sadly, a 17-year-old boy, identified as Franklin Moncada, lost his life, as confirmed by the fire marshal.

Franklin’s father was fortunate to survive the ordeal and was transported to the hospital, where he remains in stable condition. Additionally, one firefighter was admitted to the hospital due to heat exhaustion but is expected to recover.

The fire caused extensive damage to two mobile homes, prompting fire crews to initiate an investigation into the cause of the blaze
