It was unusual for the public to witness on the Texas House floor: one politician harshly correcting another after the latter attempted to end debate on a contentious bill.

On Inside Texas Politics, Representative Armando Walle said, “I had not realized that a camera was on the encounter.” The interaction was one that I am not ashamed of because that’s how I felt at the time.”
Late into the night, state representative Cody Harris (R-Palestine) attempted to crush any discussion of HB 4 by preventing more modifications to the divisive bill.
HB 4 would make illegal immigrants entering Texas illegally an official crime and allow state and local law enforcement the authority to detain and detain undocumented migrants.
