The predicted path of Hurricane Norma might cause its effects to spread into Texas.

The Category 4 hurricane was spinning off the western coast of Mexico on Thursday afternoon with winds of 130 mph. Based on a current report from the National Hurricane Center (NHC), it was moving toward Mexico at a speed of 7 mph and is anticipated to come close to the southern portion of the state of Baja California around Friday night into Saturday.

Norma is anticipated to experience minor intensity changes on Thursday and to start gradually decreasing on Friday and into the weekend.
