Officials announced Friday that investigators have discovered the body of a 4-year-old girl who had escaped from her family’s Florida vacation home.
As per the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, Evelyn K. Geer’s remains were discovered in Port Charlotte by a boat from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
The sheriff claimed that the area was behind a house that the members of the family had hired from VRBO.
“We are saddened to learn that the dead body of 4-year-old Evelyn K. Geer was recently discovered,” the sheriff said in an announcement.
“FWC found her after searching by boat for nearly an hour. The sheriff’s office stated, “Please remember their loved ones in your thoughts and prayers as they experience this terrible time.
Around thirty miles north of Fort Myers, in an area bounded by Barksdale Street, Cochran Boulevard, and Collingswood Boulevard, the sheriff dispatched the department’s bloodhound to look for the girl wearing diapers, according to officials.
