Dionte Carson, a 40-year-old resident of Center Line, has been charged with several serious felonies after law enforcement officials apprehended him with a significant amount of illicit substances and weaponry.
Suspected Drug Dealer Faces Multiple Felony Charges with Seizure of Dangerous Drugs and Weapons
Following the incident, which took place on Friday, Carson appeared in Warren’s 37th District Court and could potentially face up to 30 years in prison if convicted of the charges.
The charges against Carson include the delivery and manufacturing of fentanyl and cocaine, as well as maintaining a drug house. Warren police issued a statement revealing that undercover officers had orchestrated various drug transactions with Carson in different locations within the City of Warren as part of an ongoing investigation.
Carson was subsequently arrested after a drug purchase on Wednesday
Upon searching him, officers discovered a Glock firearm and crack cocaine. Investigators then obtained search warrants for Carson’s residences in the City of Detroit and the City of Center Line. During the search, authorities discovered a substantial quantity of illegal substances, including approximately one kilogram of fentanyl and 200 grams of cocaine. Additionally, they seized two narcotic presses, a sawed-off shotgun, a stolen assault rifle, three other firearms, and equipment utilized for the production of counterfeit identification cards.
