A carjacking and an aggressive police chase ended the stolen car at the gates of Iowa State Fairgrounds.
A stolen Car was crashed at the gate of Iowa State Fairgrounds during a police chase
A carjacking incident happened, and a police chase of the stolen car driven by the suspects ended at the gate of Iowa State Fairgrounds last Monday morning.
The stolen car went through the gates.
The incident began at a car wash in E. 14th St., where the stolen car victim was cleaning his car, said Sgt Parizek of the Police Department of Des Moines. The victim told police officers that five men with a gun took his cell phone and drove the stolen car.
The stolen car crash incident remains under investigation
A police officer located the stolen car at E. 29th St. and Easton Blvd. The stolen vehicle went through the Gate 2 of the Iowa State Fairgrounds. Because of damage to Gate 2, the police officers couldn’t get through to follow.
Once officers went to the Iowa State fairgrounds, they established a perimeter and searched for stolen car suspects. Police said one suspect in the stolen car was arrested and taken into police custody. The name of the suspect has not been released yet.
