Fort Cobb, Okla. – Steven Curnett finds himself in legal trouble as he faces a third-degree arson charge, as per recently revealed court records

Upon arrival at the scene, officers spotted none other than Steven Curnett, who appeared to be departing the area where the fire had ignited. When questioned about his presence in the vicinity, Steven Curnett provided an unusual explanation, claiming he had been swimming with his extraterrestrial companions. According to the official affidavit, Steven Curnett suggested that the departure of their spaceship had inadvertently ignited the grass fire.

Three days later, on August 24, authorities paid a visit to Steven Curnett’s residence for further inquiries regarding the blaze

It was during this interaction that Steven Curnett altered his narrative, confessing that he had been swimming in the nearby lake and had unintentionally sparked the grass fire by discarding his glass marijuana pipe into the lawn, according to court documents. Astonishingly, he admitted to setting another fire in the area, explaining that the initial one failed to burn sufficiently, as detailed in the affidavit.

When questioned about his motivation behind starting the fires, Steven Curnett candidly stated that he enjoys observing fires as they consume their surroundings, expressing a desire to witness these flames, according to court documents.

In light of these charges, Steven Curnett faces a potential prison sentence of up to 15 years, along with a possible fine of up to $10,000.
