A 56-year-old South Carolina man named Lawrence Joseph Florentine was arrested for fatally shooting his wife and burning her body and pleaded guilty to the crime, wherein the South Carolina man constantly physically and emotionally abused his wife.
According to a report published in People, the South Carolina man and his wife had a terrible marriage for years and his wife even reported the South Carolina man, claiming that he had been physically abusing her and threatening to kill, burn, and bury her whenever they were arguing.
After intentionally setting their home on fire, the South Carolina man traveled with his wife until her grandmother reported her as missing, without any idea that the South Carolina man shot his wife in her head and burned her body, which was later found near a graveyard.
South Carolina Man Will Face Life Sentence After Killing and Burning His Wife Following Years of Domestic Violence
After years of domestic violence, the South Carolina man surrendered himself to the authorities and faced multiple charges, including murder and obstruction of justice, WCNC reported.
The South Carolina man will receive a life sentence and an additional eight-year supervision and must pay a fine after murdering his wife and burning her body.
