Trevor Mullinax File a lawsuit against York County Police Officers who allegedly use deadly force

On May 7, 2021, the York County Police Officers responded to a wellness check. Trevor Mullinax decided to file a lawsuit, said to the medical officer that he wanted to kill himself, and decided to be killed by the police officers.

The four responding police officers fired their guns several times because Trevor Mullinax allegedly grabbed his shotgun and suffered mental distress.

After two years, Trevor Mullinax survived, and his mother was traumatized. They want justice for what happened to them, so they file a lawsuit against the four police officers.

It must be the responsibility of mental health resources, not of law enforcement

The four police officers said they approached Trevor Mullinax because he was wanted for a violent case, was armed with a knife, and suffered mental distress. They didn’t fire the gun if Trevor Mullinax if have not pulled his shotgun.

The police successfully arrested Trevor Mullinax and brought him to the hospital because of injuries.

Her mother was traumatized by the incident, and also Trevor Mullinax. They believed it was the responsibility of mental health resources, not law enforcement. They decided to file a lawsuit against them.
