The revelation came to light around 8:30 a.m. when a third party informed the Smith County Sheriff’s Office’s Public Information Officer, Larry Christian, about the discovery of human skeletal remains at a home near Tyler

Roughly an hour later, the exact position was communicated to the Smith County Sheriff’s Office, egging deputies to fleetly respond to the hearthstone positioned on the 12100 block of Greenbriar Lake Road, west of Tyler.

Upon reaching the scene, an occupant of the home guided the deputies to a skull concealed in a closet adjacent to the dining room. The occupant and his wife stumbled upon the skull while preparing for a remodeling project, the report stated, noting that the skull was hidden behind other collected items in the closet. As of now, no additional remains have been found on the premises.

Smith County Sheriff Larry Smith confirmed that the skull will undergo forensic analysis at the University of North Texas

In swift response, Smith County Investigators and the Crime Scene Unit were promptly notified and dispatched to the location for a thorough investigation. The Smith County Sheriff’s Office is currently engaged in actively probing this peculiar discovery of the human skull.
