A small plane Piper Cherokee crashed into a car on the Twin Cities highway in Minnesota after the pilot of the Piper Cherokee struggled a mechanical difficulty and claimed that the small plane was slowly losing power as it approached the Crystal Airport.
According to a report published in ABC News, the 23-year-old pilot of the Piper Cherokee reported how the plane was having difficulties during the flight back to the Crystal Airport and asked for help from others to solve the mechanical problem of the Piper Cherokee but it was too late.
Following the mechanical difficulty suffered by the Piper Cherokee, its pilot decided to make an emergency landing on the highway; however, before the Piper Cherokee had a safe landing on the highway, it crashed with a car.
Pilot and Driver Suffer from Injuries After the Piper Cherokee Crashes into Car During Emergency Landing on Highway
Following the tragic crash, the pilot and driver suffered minor injuries after the small plane Piper Cherokee crashed into the car during an emergency landing on the highway and both were rushed to the hospital.
An ongoing investigation continued after the tragic crash while the highway around the area where the Piper Cherokee emergency landed was closed for hours but later reopened for the public, CBS News reported.
