The Sixteen State Mexican security were set free last Friday after being kidnapped in the southern state of Chiapas following a three-day search, said authorities.

Last Tuesday, a Mexican Security Ministry spokesperson said that the kidnapped Mexican Security employees were not police officers but administration Mexican Security employees. The Mexican Security spokesperson added that nothing like this had ever happened before.
The kidnapped Mexican Security employees were recorded in a video after the Mexican Security employees went missing, eyes cast to the ground, standing together, as one said that the kidnapped Mexican Security employees would be freed in exchange for resignations from Mexican Security ministry higher-ups.
The Mexican Security Ministry confirmed that those in the video were the Mexican Security captives.
