Gabriel DeWitt Wilson, a grocery store worker responsible for the shooting incident at a Long Island grocery store that killed a manager and injured two workers, was sentenced to 50 years to life imprisonment.

2021 Stop & Shop Shooting Incident

Gabriel DeWitt Wilson was convicted last May of murder and attempted murder in the shooting incident at the Stop & Shop Long Island grocery store in West Hempstead.

Police Officers said the shooting incident transpired because Gabriel DeWitt Wilson was a troubled employee who was scolded for sexually and threatening his coworkers.

Gabriel DeWitt Wilson opened a shooting in an office Long Island grocery store for 40 minutes after a conversation with a supervisor about transferring to another branch store.

Wilson fled after the shooting incident

Police search Gabriel DeWitt Wilson for four hours. They found him at an apartment 2 miles far from Hempstead.

The Nassau County District Attorney said that the Shooting suspect showed no remorse for what he had done.
