On Wednesday, Senate Republicans overwhelmingly decided to stop an emergency budget plan that would have allocated over $100 billion to Israel, Ukraine, and other security-related requirements. Their desire for an update of immigration and border security policies is at issue.
Probably the most outspoken members of the chamber to voice their opinions were Texas Senators Ted Cruz and John Cornyn. Cornyn told a reporter, “I favor assistance for Ukraine.” I am in favor of funding Israel. However, we have a chance to make the Biden administration act as they ought for having all along.”
