In connection with the county prosecutors’ inquiry into intentions of hacking the Georgia 2020 election, Rudy Giuliani has turned himself in to be arrested in Atlanta.
As a portion of the extensive criminal indictment released this past week, Giuliani, a well-known proponent of false accusations that the election had been stolen from former President Donald Trump, is charged with 13 felonies.
When serving as a federal prosecutor, the former mayor of New York City primarily relied on the federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations law to seek charges; he is currently an accuser in a RICO prosecution.
The indictment has been referred to by Giuliani as “an insult to American democracy.”
Giuliani spoke to reporters, such as CBS News, before departing for Atlanta on Wednesday: “I’m doing very, very good regarding it since I believe I’m protecting the rights of every American, as I have done numerous times being a United States attorney.”
