On Tuesday, House Republicans moved to intensify border and immigration concerns on two fronts, setting up a party showdown.

In a split-screen approach that Democrats denounced as hypocritical, Republicans resumed their efforts to remove Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas while denouncing the recent border agreement mediated by the Bipartisan Senate group and the Joe Biden White House.

In order to think about two articles of impeachment against Mayorkas, a House committee met on Tuesday. Mayorkas defended Republican claims against him, calling them “false,” “ridiculous,” and “incorrect.”
