Rep. Jasmine Crockett, a Democrat from Texas, believes that Republicans may also be guilty of “criminal responsibility” for supporting Donald Trump while he is under investigation.
The congressman spoke on “The Katie Phang Show” on MSNBC on Saturday, where the major subject was the former president’s most recent federal charges, which Special Counsel Jack Smith announced on Tuesday. Republican leaders have overwhelmingly denounced the accusations as instances of political harassment or prosecution overreach, even though progressive Democrats and leftist activists welcomed them.
Crockett was questioned by Phang on her views on Republicans’ “clamoring to reject ineffective charges” about Trump.
Republicans, according to Crockett, might be “dangerously near” to “criminal liability” if they don’t hold Trump responsible and gather hearings on President Biden’s son, Hunter.
