Following the former president’s broadcast town hall meeting on Wednesday night, Senator Todd Young (R-IN) declared on Thursday that he might not encourage Trump’s 3rd consecutive run for the GOP presidential nomination.
Young informed reporters that she would not be endorsing him for the Republican nomination. When questioned by CNN’s Manu Raju why he wouldn’t support the overwhelming leading for the nomination, Young reacted, “Where do I start?”
Young was the single Republican in Indiana’s congressional assembly who did not obtain Trump’s support in the 2022 midterm elections. Young voted to confirm the outcomes of the 2020 presidential election on January 6, 2021, over Trump’s desires, and he gave an emotional speech about why in front of Trump followers that morning beside the Capitol Building.
At that point, Young declared, “Our thoughts don’t count whenever it relates to the law; the law does. “Under God, I pledged an oath! Do we still consider that important in this nation?
