Ranking of Florida’s ten largest cities’ cost of living from cheapest to most costly

Florida has the highest population growth in the US and is a favorite among retirees, but it may also be pretty pricey.

Insider examined The Council for Community and Economic Research’s Cost of Living Index for various US cities to see how the largest cities in the well-known Sunshine State compare.

“The Cost of Living Index evaluates local variations in the cost of goods and services used by consumers, ignoring taxes and non-consumer spending, among professional and management families in the highest income quintile,” according to an announcement from C2ER.

Prices for 61 distinct products are gathered quarterly by houses of commerce, organizations that promote economic growth, and university-applied economic hubs in every contributing urban region, according to the news release.
