The unexpected and terrible passing of Dublin wrestler and devoted Bohemian FC volunteer Dean Merton, also known as “Alexander Dean” and “Sean South,” has left the pro wrestling industry as well as the Bohemian FC group in sorrow.
Merton, a Ballymun native, made an enduring impression on the wrestling events in Ireland and the UK at the early age of 35. On Monday, he suddenly went away, leaving people who knew him grieving.
Dean Merton was a well-known personality in Over The Top wrestling throughout the 2000s and also showed his skills in other wrestling promotions, such as ICW in Scotland and WXW in Germany.
Fergal Devitt, the Bray native and current WWE Grand Slam champion Finn Balor, gave him advice throughout his wrestling career.
