In San Luis Obispo County, an organization of masked men raised a “Embrace white pride” flag on a Highway 101 bridge once more on Saturday, drawing criticism from passing motorists and reaction from demonstrators.
Around midday, 4 guys appeared on the Vineyard Drive Highway 101 overpass in Templeton, California, and spread a sign that was quite similar to the one that 2 men had been holding up in the same location 2 weeks earlier.
Except for the addition of 3 symbols this weekend, the words were produced on a white sheet with the same inconsistent letter spacing.
Dan Cook, an organizer of a pro-democracy group that has counter-demonstrated towards far-right activists on the bridge, saw the sign on Saturday as he was driving by, 3 days after he and others had held a “Rally Against Hate” that on Wednesday in protest of the first appearance of the “white pride” symbol on April 29.
