Over the weekend, an individual in southwest Springs, Colorado, was hauled into custody for allegedly spreading panic at his apartment building.

At 2:45 a.m. on Saturday, several occupants of the Sky at Bear Creek apartments called 911 to report a thief who was breaking inside one of the apartment buildings. The callers said that an outsider had broken the window and climbed through it.

The accused burglar turned out to be the apartment’s occupant, as the police discovered upon their arrival at the complex located at 8th Street and Oxford Lane. But when they made an effort to talk to him, he would not comply. He was therefore taken into custody on suspicion of criminal damage and resisted arrest.
