A Colorado plastic surgeon was guilty of attempted manslaughter for his teenage patient’s death, Emmalyn Nguyen.

The plastic surgeon was also convicted of obstruction of telephone service for not calling 911 five hours after his patient went into cardiac arrest. But he was not guilty of negligent homicide.

Justice has been served. The plastic surgeon had the opportunity to call 911 to get emergency medical help but hindered his staff from doing so. This case reminded medical practitioners that they are not above the law.
