The Pittsburgh police arrested Heiko-Lamar Calhoun, 26, a resident of Wilkinsburg, who is facing serious charges, including criminal attempted homicide, aggravated assault, robbery, and recklessly endangering another person.

The Pittsburgh police incident occurred at the Even Hotel on Forbes Avenue on Monday evening, prompting an immediate response from Pittsburgh police after receiving reports of a male assault victim in the lobby.
The victim, identified as 41-year-old Larry Gilmore, was discovered in an unresponsive state, with severe head injuries and profuse bleeding. He was promptly transported to UPMC Mercy Hospital in critical condition. Gilmore’s wife, Shalawrae, who had recently married him and was reportedly pregnant, expressed her distress, finding her husband lying “in a puddle of blood.”
The attacker approached Gilmore from behind, put him in a chokehold, and forcefully slammed his head to the ground. The assailant allegedly proceeded to kick and stomp on Gilmore before taking several belongings, including his pants.
The accused, Heiko-Lamar Calhoun, described as homeless, faced an arraignment by Pittsburgh police on Tuesday morning and is presently being held at the Allegheny County Jail
Bail was denied by District Judge Nicholas C. Martini. In response, to the Pittsburgh police incident, Gilmore’s family has launched a GoFundMe campaign to assist with his medical expenses. So far, the campaign has raised nearly $4,000 out of its $10,000 target.
The victim, Larry Gilmore, is known as a “loving father of three,” and the family eagerly anticipates a fourth child due in December 2023.
Fox News Digital has attempted to seek a statement from the hotel regarding the incident, but as of now, there has been no response.
