Owning a firearm that resulted in self-inflicted injury lands a Chicago guy who mistakenly struck him in the booty ten years in prison

The 45-year-old guy from Chicago was given a 10-year prison term for carrying a gun that unintentionally hit him in the buttocks.

Gregory Sherman, an anti-violence expert with 19 charges under his record, was found guilty on July 9, 2022, after accidentally shooting himself in the buttocks at a Bucktown gas station. Sherman was thus given a ten-year prison term for owning the weapon that injured him.

According to reports, Sherman was shot in the back and sent to St. Elizabeth Hospital in July 2022. In this instance, the prosecution claimed that the bullet struck him on the right side after passing through the left butt cheek.
