A serious apartment fire took place on Friday evening on Kuykendahl Road, leaving one person with severe burns and another hospitalized for smoke inhalation.

The Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office is working together with the Little York Fire Department to determine the apparent cause of the fire. Multiple calls were made to the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office, reporting smoke in the Vanderbilt Apartments complex, where the incident took place. Emergency services discovered a female victim on the ground with severe burns and no signs of breathing. Following this, an elderly female victim was confirmed to be the one who had sustained burns.

The Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office has sent investigators to support the Little York Fire Department in dealing with the situation. As of now, the cause of the fire remains unknown and is being investigated. No additional information has been released by the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office about the incident.
