Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the president of Ukraine, has embraced President Joe Biden’s invitation to meet with him on Tuesday at the White House, press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre and an additional White House official announced on Sunday.
According to Jean-Pierre, Biden wants to “highlight the United States’ unwavering commitment to assisting the citizens of Ukraine” in its conflict with Russia.
She stated, “Both parties will talk about Ukraine’s immediate requirements and the key necessity of the United States’ ongoing assistance at this crucial point as Russia steps up its drone and missile attacks against Ukraine.”
As per a Senate leadership aide, Zelenskyy has also been invited to participate in an all-senators conference on Tuesday morning by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky.
