The state’s inquiry into Ta’Kiya Young’s shooting death and the death of her unborn child is complete.
The 21-year-old pregnant lady was shot by a Blendon Township policeman in August outside of a Kroger. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation has been investigating the matter ever since.
2 police officers believed Young was under the influence of alcohol when they attempted to stop her and repeatedly requested her to exit her automobile. Young was shot by one of the policemen as she drove forward.
Mat Heck, the Montgomery County prosecutor, was designated as a special prosecutor in this case. The inquiries from BCI have been received this week, according to his office. They will investigate the matter and determine whether to charge, arrange a grand jury, or do nothing.
