Following a tailgate event on Saturday, Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley mispronounced the name of a University of Iowa basketball standout.
Before the Iowa Hawkeyes vs. Minnesota Golden Gophers women’s basketball game, Haley discovered herself in Coralville, Iowa. According to Tom Barton’s account, Haley intended to compliment the squad, coach, and outstanding guard Caitlin Clark. But she called the guard by the incorrect name by accident.
Haley said, “They are an amazing team,” expressing her love for the group and coach Kaitlin Collins. Kaitlin Collins is very remarkable.
