Nicholas Bollea, the son of wrestling legend Hulk Hogan, found himself in legal trouble again as he was arrested on Saturday in Clearwater, Florida, and charged with driving under the influence.
This incident occurred in the same city where Nicholas Bollea faced legal consequences 16 years ago for a car crash that critically injured a passenger
A police sergeant initiated the arrest after pulling over the 33-year-old on Gulf to Bay Boulevard for failing to yield to three patrol vehicles during a traffic stop. Nicholas Bollea exhibited signs of impairment, performed poorly on field sobriety tests, and refused a breath alcohol content test. The arrest affidavit noted a strong odor of alcohol on his breath and unsteady balance.
Nicholas Bollea was taken into custody at 1:42 a.m. on Saturday, facing misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence and refusing the BAC test
He was later released the same evening after a $500 bond assessment, according to online records. It’s worth noting that Nicholas Bollea’s father, Hulk Hogan, owns a bar in Clearwater named Hogan’s Hangout. This latest incident echoes a dark chapter from August 2007 when Nicholas Bollea was involved in another Clearwater car crash, resulting in critical injuries to a passenger named John Graziano. Nicholas Bollea faced legal consequences back then, pleading no contest to reckless driving with serious bodily harm and serving an eight-month jail sentence in 2008.
