Nicaragua pageant director Karen Celebertti retired from the organization after being accused of conspiracy along with her husband and son following Miss Nicaragua’s win as Miss Universe 2023, wherein their win has led to authorities accusing the pageant director.

According to a report published in Fox News, the Nicaragua pageant director and her daughter were reportedly stopped from entering the country by immigration officials only days after the pageant director went to see how Miss Nicaragua grabbed the prestigious crown.

Aside from the terrible experience of the pageant director, authorities also raided their home and were able to arrest the husband of the pageant director and their son, who were both accused of joining the pageant director in conspiring terrorist attacks.

Nicaragua Pageant Director Releases Statement Announcing Her Retirement After Being Accused of Conspiracy

Following the conspiracy allegations, the Nicaragua pageant director released a statement on Twitter, where she announced her retirement, claiming that other opportunities would come.

The husband and son of the pageant director were arrested for conspiracy and treason and are currently detained, the Los Angeles Times reported.
