At a party in Iowa, the state which caucuses kick off the Republican presidential nomination calendar, Pence is anticipated to announce his candidacy for president the following week.
Fox News has received confirmation from sources familiar with the former vice president’s thoughts that Pence will announce his presidential run in a campaign video and at a gathering in Des Moines on June 7.
Pence has worked the last 2 years traveling the nation to campaign and gather funds for Republicans competing in the 2022 elections, so many have long predicted that he will be an opponent in the 2024 race.
Pence improved connections in the earlier voting presidential elementary and caucus states that typically come before the start of a White House campaign during his journeys, which took him to Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, and Nevada on several occasions. These 4 states are the first to vote in the Republican presidential nominating calendar.
