Convicted Felon Carjacks Nashville Man’s Truck on Way Home After Picking Granddaughters from Daycare Center

A convicted felon named Elijah Malik McDowell carjacked the truck of a Nashville man identified as Luis Mena while he was on the way home after picking his granddaughters from a daycare center, wherein the convicted felon had attempted to steal the victim’s truck.

According to a report published from People, the convicted felon forcefully opened the truck’s door and fought with the victim to get him out of the truck while his two young granddaughters were still in the back seat, witnessing the carjacking incident and the terrible crime of the convicted felon.

When the victim lost his consciousness, the convicted felon stole the truck, but thankfully, the victim’s 7-year-old granddaughter was able to pull her 3-year-old sister before jumping from the truck before the convicted felon finally drove the stolen truck and fled.

Convicted Felon Faces Multiple Charges After Carjacking Victim’s Truck on Their Way Home

Before the convicted felon carjacked the victim’s truck and almost took his granddaughters, authorities had been chasing the convicted felon after he stole a pickup truck at gunpoint.

The Nashville convicted felon faced multiple charges, including illegal gun possession after stealing vehicles and had been taken into police custody, The Messenger reported.
