Former NFL receiver Mike Williams passed away on Tuesday, September 12 at the age of 36, according to his advisor Hadley Engelhard of EnterSports Management.
Williams passed away within a week after it had been claimed that he had been put on life support as a result of injuries suffered in a construction accident, a claim that has since been denied.

Williams experienced the severe injury while working as an electrician at the building site, according to Engelhard.
Williams suffered a “massive head injury” from a falling steel beam, according to a GoFundMe page created by his dad, Wendell Muhammad. This damage led to swelling in Williams’ brain and a torn spinal cord.
