Miguel Angel Carlos, Girls’ Coach at Larasa ISD, Arrested for Alleged Online Solicitation of a Minor

The arrest came after Miguel Angel Carlos was charged with two counts of online solicitation of a minor, and the investigators revealed that he had been engaging in online chats with someone he believed to be a 15-year-old girl for several months.

Miguel Angel Carlos, a 46-year-old athletic coach from the Rio Grande Valley, was apprehended by the Harris County Pct. 1 Constable’s Office for purportedly arranging a meeting with a teenage girl in Houston

Contrary to Miguel Angel Carlos’s involvement with the Larasa Independent School District (ISD), where Miguel Angel Carlos served as the girls’ basketball and track coach, the district reportedly informed Precinct 1 that Miguel Angel Carlos was not employed as a teacher. Unbeknownst to Miguel Angel Carlos, he was conversing with an undercover officer from the Internet Crime Against Children Task Force, who was strategically posing as a teenage girl.

The constable’s office emphasized the deceptive tactics of such criminals, highlighting their manipulative nature on social media.

A judge set Miguel Angel Carlos’ initial bond at a staggering $500,000 for each count, totaling $1 million
