The Orange County District Attorney’s Office revealed that Matthew Antonio Zakrzewski, who worked as a male nanny, faced dozens of charges, including sexually assaulting boys aged two to 12 and exposing a 17th victim to child pornography with the intent of further assault.
Matthew Antonio Zakrzewski, 34, has been sentenced to an unprecedented 707 years in prison for the sexual assault of 16 boys under his care in California
Disturbingly, he documented many of these crimes through filmed recordings. These heinous acts occurred between January 2014 and May 2019 in Southern California, as disclosed by the district attorney’s office. Initially charged with three felony counts, including lewd and lascivious acts with a minor, oral copulation of a child under 10, and possession of child pornography, Matthew Antonio Zakrzewski was arrested in May 2019 after a couple reported inappropriate touching of their 8-year-old son. The investigation subsequently uncovered additional victims through video evidence and public tips.
Matthew Antonio Zakrzewski, who labeled himself “the original Sitter Buddy,” providing various babysitting services, faced a total of 34 felonies, including lewd acts with a minor and possession of child pornography
Despite the overwhelming evidence, Matthew Antonio Zakrzewski, described as a “monster disguised by smiles and giggles,” never apologized during court proceedings. The victims’ parents expressed their profound distress at the betrayal and the enduring trauma inflicted upon their children.
Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer emphasized the calculated manipulation Matthew Antonio Zakrzewski employed to gain unhindered access to the children, condemning his actions as an egregious exploitation of innocence.
