The Billings Police Department reported that 25 adults were taken to local hospitals for treatment, while eight others received medical attention at the scene and were subsequently released. In addition, an unspecified number of injured individuals decided not to seek medical treatment. While the circumstances leading to the patio collapse in Montana country club have not been disclosed by the authorities, CBS News was informed by Lt. Matt Lennick, a spokesperson for the Billings Police Department, that some injuries included head injuries, broken bones, cuts, and scrapes, but fortunately, no critical injuries were reported.
The emergency response to the incident commenced just before 8 p.m. local time on Saturday, with officers, medical crews, and fire officials from Billings attending to the rescue call
During the response, they cautioned the public about potential congestion caused by emergency vehicles in the area as they assisted the victims.
Dr. Clint Seger, the CEO of Billings Clinic, stated that several individuals injured in the patio collapse in Montana country club were treated at their facility. Billings Clinic had already received six patients and was anticipating three more at the time of the statement.
Despite efforts to reach out for additional information, both the Montana country club and Billings Clinic did not immediately respond to inquiries from CBS News.
